To Get You Started

HERE ARE SOME OF MY MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can you accommodate large wedding parties?
What makeup brands do you use?

I carefully curate my kit with a range of top-quality products from different brands because each one excels in certain areas. Rather than relying on a single brand, I select high-performing items to ensure your makeup looks flawless both in person and on camera. All products are tested for performance before being added to my collection. If you have any concerns about allergies within your party, please feel free to reach out!

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, a deposit and a signed contract are required to secure your wedding date. Both must be completed at the time of booking, as dates cannot be held without them.

Can I book a trial first before submitting a contract and deposit?

Due to high demand, we cannot hold any dates without a signed contract and deposit. While you’re welcome to schedule a trial, please note that it doesn’t guarantee availability for your wedding date. We do offer a 3-day hold on your date after the trial. During peak wedding season, I typically receive 3-5 inquiries per date, so I highly recommend securing your wedding date or scheduling your trial as soon as possible to ensure availability.

How far do you travel?

I’m happy to travel wherever you need me! My travel fee is based on the location and distance.

How far in advance should I book my wedding?

The sooner, the better! We are currently booking up to 2 years in advance, so I highly recommend securing your date as early as possible to guarantee availability.

How Will the Schedule Work on the Wedding Day?

Your schedule will have a designated start time, which I will determine based on the number of services, the photographer’s arrival for “getting ready” photos, and your departure time.

If multiple members of your bridal party are receiving services, I ask that everyone arrives at the set start time, prepared with day-old, dry hair for styling and a fresh face for makeup.

Rather than assigning time slots, I keep the schedule flexible to accommodate different hair types and styles. Having everyone present and ready helps ensure a smooth, stress-free experience for both you and my team.

Will My Makeup Last All Night? What If I Cry?

Absolutely! A professional makeup application is designed to last throughout your entire event. Your skin and eyes will be properly prepped with high-quality skincare and priming products, and the makeup will be set with professional powders and setting sprays to lock everything in place. Every product used is chosen for its long-lasting wear, ensuring durability against tears, sweat, and various weather conditions.

If you’d like extra peace of mind or a look change, we offer a stand-by retouch service. With this package, we’ll be available for touch-ups or adjustments throughout the booked time. Retouches typically begin as soon as your initial services are completed.

Why is it important to hire a makeup artist for my wedding or special occasion?

The answer is simple: education, experience, expertise, and a stress-free, convenient experience. You want everything to be perfect on your special day, and so does your makeup artist. The last thing you should worry about is whether your makeup will look just right.

By hiring a professional bridal makeup artist, you can relax knowing you’re in good hands. A makeup artist will come to you, saving you valuable time on your already busy schedule. With their experience, they’ll create a look that enhances your natural beauty and reflects your personality. Plus, it’s fun!

A professional makeup artist ensures that your look will be timeless, so your photos will still look just as stunning 20 years from now as they do on your wedding day

Do you offer bridal trials? If so, what is the process?

Yes, I absolutely offer bridal trials and highly recommend them! During the trial, we’ll discuss your vision for your bridal look, and then I’ll create a hair and makeup style based on your preferences. We’ll take time to adjust and perfect the look to ensure it’s exactly what you want.

The trial also gives you the opportunity to wear your hair and makeup for the day, so you can see how it feels and holds up. This helps us fine-tune any details and make necessary adjustments to perfect your look. By the time your wedding day arrives, we’ll have your look down to perfection!

What do I need to prepare for my wedding trial and/or wedding day?

To prepare, please have your hair and makeup inspiration photos ready to share. For your hair, it should be clean and blow-dried, ready for styling—please avoid using a flat iron. If you’re planning to incorporate hair extensions, be sure to bring them along.

If you’re unsure about anything, feel free to email me, and we can discuss further. If your extensions are new, please wash them and let them air dry before your appointment.

In the week leading up to your makeup appointment or wedding day, make sure to stay consistent with your skincare routine by cleansing and moisturizing both morning and night. Drink plenty of water, and exfoliate gently twice a week. For your brows, consider tidying them up with tweezing, waxing, or threading to ensure they’re in perfect shape.

Can I reserve my wedding date without a trial?

Yes, you can secure your wedding date without a trial! However, I recommend reserving your date first and scheduling your trial closer to the wedding, as trends can evolve. We typically suggest having the trial 1-2 months before your wedding day to ensure everything is perfect.

Do you have a portfolio of your work I can look at?

Absolutely! You can view my work on Instagram at @beautyby_renata and check out the glam team at @miamiglamsociety.
